My 2nd Chance is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation committed to strengthening communities through practical support, connection, and care. Established in October 1995, we exist to provide people with opportunities, encouragement, and the resources they need to move forward with confidence.
We deliver Holiday Clubs throughout most school holidays, giving children a safe, fun, and educational environment where they can learn, play, and thrive. Every Wednesday, our CommUNITY Connection Day creates a welcoming space where people can come together to connect, share experiences, and support one another.
We also run an online programme called Navigating Trauma, a four-week course followed by a full-day in-person. This programme provides guidance, understanding, and emotional support for those navigating life’s challenges.
Supporting food security is a core part of our mission. Through food banks and affordable community meals, we help ensure individuals and families have access to nutritious food. We also host community-focused events that bring people together to raise awareness, build relationships, and support important causes.
Beyond the UK, we are committed to supporting vulnerable children in orphanages in Ghana by providing essential supplies and serving food parcels to the most vulnerable in the community.
Following a review of our work programme, we expanded our remit to do even more for the community. In 2018, we became a registered company trading under the name My 2nd Chance, allowing us to extend our reach and impact.
We are proud to be based at:
TNG Youth & Community Centre

Together, we believe in giving people a second chance, and the support they need to make it count.

My 2nd Chance exists to support individuals and communities who are struggling, hurting, or marginalised. We provide practical help, emotional support, and pathways to healing through community-focused services, outreach initiatives, weekly meals, trauma-healing programmes, and mission work both in the UK and internationally.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to love, have compassion, equality, and dignity for all, guided by faith and a deep desire to serve our communities.
We envision a world where:
Our vision is to see lives transformed and communities uplifted through holistic care that addresses practical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
My 2nd Chance grew out of years of grassroots community support led by our CEO, Melanie Hamilton. Long before becoming an organisation, this work began with a simple desire to help people who were struggling and often overlooked.
Over time, My 2nd Chance expanded to include a wide range of initiatives such as holiday clubs, youth crime outreach, mental health and abuse awareness workshops, retreats and empowerment events.
One of our key developments was the launch of Nancy’s Community Meals Service, created to provide authentic, home-cooked meals while fostering connection and reducing food insecurity. Alongside this, the organisation has continued to develop trauma-healing programmes and outreach activities rooted in compassion and faith.
Our journey has also extended internationally, particularly to Ghana, where My 2nd Chance established a Resource Centre in Accra to provide training, education, and community support. In October 2025 M2C Ghana Foundation became a registered NGO This international work reflects our commitment to serving beyond borders while remaining deeply rooted in local community care.
